Review: The Banshee Of Inisherin

What would you do if your best friend for most of your life suddenly decided they no longer want to be friends with you anymore? Surely you wouldn't try to burn their house down right? Well this is exactly what happens when Colm decides that he no longer wants to be around Padraic which spirals him not only to wanting to no the reason why but also relentlessly trying to get him back. In this dark comedy it loses you a little bit when it comes to side characters and other plot points when the main story is so compelling, mix this with some really crisp camera work and snappy dialogue that makes you feel like these are two friends actually fighting giving you a film that you weren't aware could pull so much from a simple concept. Whether you side with the dull one or the bitter old man we ask you who you point the finger at.
