Review: The Farewell

from Roll The Credits · host Frank DiSalvo and Zach Johnson

It is important to keep your family happy, but what if that means keeping a terrible secret from them? When her grandma is diagnosed with stage four cancer, Billi and her family fly from New York to China to spend what they think will be their last moments together even though she is unaware she has it. While this film has some missed opportunities with family affairs other than that of Nai Nai, it still is a realistic concept that many families in the world face and creates a sense of an actual togetherness during hardships on screen. Its a sad truth that many people face but this is still one to check out because "you will feel sad, but no matter how sad you feel, you cannot tell her". Also Matt is back for this one.
