Written by Kubrick and science fiction author Arthur C. Clarke, 2001: A Space Odyssey was inspired by Clarke’s 1951 short story “The Sentinel” among others. Jason and Rob rewind to 1968 for this mind-mending trek through time and space in this epic science fiction film which is now widely regarded as being one of the greatest and most influential films ever made. An imposing black structure provides a connection between the past and the future.
