Rewind & Review Ep 95 - Alien (1979)

Directed by Ridley Scott, Alien is the science fiction horror film based on a story by Dan O'Bannon and Ronald Shusett. Jason and Rob rewind to 1979 to review the movie that horrifically demonstrated that in space no one can hear you scream and kicked off a media franchise of films, books, video games, and toys. It may even be the film responsible for propelling the acting career of lead actress Sigourney Weaver. In deep space, the crew of the commercial starship Nostromo is awakened from their cryo-sleep capsules halfway through their journey home to investigate a distress call from an alien vessel. The terror begins when the crew encounters a nest of eggs inside the alien ship. An organism from inside an egg leaps out and attaches itself to one of the crew, causing him to fall into a coma.
