from e-motion wellness podcast · host Jason Turner

Sabyn Mayfield, a Nashville native, began his career as an award-winning filmmaker and musician. He graduated from the Los Angeles Film School in 2001 with a focus on Directing and Producing, launching a successful career in the entertainment industry that spanned over two decades. While building his career, Sabyn also embarked on his own journey of recovery from mental health and substance use disorders. This personal transformation led him to shift his focus toward helping others in their own healing journeys. In 2022, he completed the Christian Institute’s Drug and Alcohol Counseling Program, became a member of CCAPP, and earned certifications as a Registered Alcohol/Drug Technician (RADT) and a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor-I (CADC). Sabyn’s connection to The Bridge to Recovery is deeply personal—he is a former client whose experience at the program changed and saved his life. Now serving as CEO, he is dedicated to expanding The Bridge’s reach, ensuring that its life-changing work continues to impact individuals and families for generations to come. With a background spanning both creative industries and behavioral health, Sabyn brings a unique perspective to his leadership. His ability to connect with individuals from diverse backgrounds, combined with his passion for recovery, guides his mission to make The Bridge to Recovery a place where transformation and healing thrive.
