As parents, and I think, particularly, fathers of daughters, we want to protect our children, keep them safe, and try to limit their mistakes. However, are we doing them a disservice? We love our kids so much we don’t want to see the fail, to hurt, or to be disappointed. However, this is the path they must go down. They must experience disappointment, failure, and fear; facing and overcoming each of them.
