RFT - Rounds For Time - PHYSICAL FRIDAY #53

from Tom Rowland Podcast · host Tom Rowland

In our last installment of acronyms and nicknames in the Crossfit world, we are going over RFT. This is "Rounds For Time" and in this case we will use an example. Say you are doing a famous benchmark Crossfit workout called Helen - run 400 meters, 21 kettle bell swings, and do 12 pull-ups. You will do this 3 rounds for time. CrossFit workouts and many other types of workouts will designate how many rounds you will do. The "For Time" part means that you are going to complete that many rounds as fast as you possibly can. You track your finish times and you can see progress in your fitness. If you can do more work in less time then you are fitter by definition.
