RiBreMixWinterlude

from The Basement

I’ve decided to just update this page rather than create a new one each time - at least until I get it to a point where it’s worth keeping around. This way we can keep the comments as well. Things new in this version: • Spastic “Rhodes” part missing from the previous version (interlude) • Spastic clav part added tonight • Somewhat less spastic electric 12-string, somewhat over chorused (on purpose!) • Changed flute reverb to a “thin plate” style reverb - no more cave. • Removed the english horn from the beginning - current leaning: just use the e-horn in the two bridges (as here) • Kick drum - first take (minus a couple of false starts) then manually edited to spot remedy the some of the most obvious outliers. Middle track shows the relative velocities (post adjustment). Under that is one of the keyboard parts and the elec 12 string. Current thoughts on some of the faltering attempts towards the bass stratosphere are that they’re probably not going to work... but something with some tension to release could go there (I’m thinking John) and the bass can be simplified. The interlude was just thrown together - but... well, there’s something there - not sure we don’t want to leave it in a ditch. But - hey... Thoughts?
