Ricardo Padrón is Mapping Spanish Exploration of the Pacific

The UVA Spanish Professor dives into the literature and cartography of European expansion, including the colonial history of early modern Spain and the transpacific, and reflects on the Renaissance and themes that remain relevant today. Plus he discusses how he views maps as context-rich stories of subjective interpretations made by cartographers. Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
