Ricardo Teixeira

Ricardo Teixeira (born 2 August 1984 in Lisbon, Portugal) is a racing driver who is half-Angolan and half-Portuguese. He is a dual national and has competed in races under both of his national flags at different stages during his career. When he was named as a test driver for Team Lotus in 2011, he became the first Angolan driver to drive a Formula 1 vehicle. He has been sponsored by the Angolan oil corporation Sonangol for the whole of his professional life.
