Rice Owls 2026 Team Preview (Ep. 3147)

The College Football Experience (@TCEonSGPN) on the Sports Gambling Podcast Network continues its 138 college football team preview series with the Rice Owls 2026 Season Preview. Pick Dundee aka (@TheColbyD) & Ryan McIntyre (@Moneyline_Mac) break down the 2026 Rice Owls roster and what to expect in the American Athletic Conference this season. Can second-year head coach Scott Abell build on a 5-8 debut while sitting at just a 1 out of 10 on the hot seat? Will UCF transfer quarterback Jacurri Brown be the perfect trigger man for Vince Munch's option attack that finished 15th in the country in rushing? And can Jon Kay's defense, which ranked 100th in total defense a year ago, take a real step in year two? How much can returning back Quinton Jackson and returning offensive linemen Luke Miller and Patrick Valent power the ground game? Do incoming transfers like wide receiver Davis Lane Jr. from Virginia and center Scott Becker from Princeton give the offense more juice? Will returning defensive linemen Dillan Botts and Joseph Mutombo hold up while a defensive transfer class ranked 106th nationally settles in? What is gameday like at 75-year-old Rice Stadium, the house where JFK gave his moon speech and Super Bowls were once played? Can Rice survive a brutal road stretch at Notre Dame, Fresno State and East Carolina and still get back to a bowl game? And where's the betting value on the Rice Owls win total, American Athletic Conference odds and College Football Playoff chances? We talk it all and more on this episode of The College Football Experience. 0:00 Download the SGPN App Today! 0:52 Welcome to the Rice Owls 2026 Preview 3:35 Moneyline Mac's Birthday and the Five-For-Five Chaos 7:55 Rice Football History and the 2025 Season Recap 11:45 Scott Abell on the Hot Seat at 1 Out of 10 12:20 Offense Breakdown: Vince Munch and the Option Attack 13:04 Jacurri Brown, the Perfect Option Quarterback 15:02 Offensive Portal Haul and Returning Starters 17:13 Why the Option Is Cutting Edge for Rice 26:58 Defense Breakdown and Winning the Portal 31:16 The Rice Owl Bar and Gameday at Rice Stadium 39:37 State of the Program: A 5 Out of 10 40:16 Schedule Breakdown, Game by Game 51:18 Win Total 3.5, AAC and CFP Odds: A Smash Over 54:41 Rice Owls Anthem and Sign-Off Exclusive SGPN Bonuses And Links http://sg.pn/links Watch The College Football Experience on YouTube https://sg.pn/tcfe-youtube Follow The College Football Experience X/Twitter - https://x.com/TCEonSGPN Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/tceonsgpn TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@tceonsgpn Follow The College Football Experience Hosts Colby Dant - http://www.twitter.com/thecolbyd Ryan McIntyre - https://x.com/Moneyline_Mac Gambling problem?
