Biblical scholars and those who preach from the pulpit often withhold something from those who sit in the pews: Education. The “inerrant word of God” is filled with obvious fiction, yet fundamentalist would have the faithful believe that only the fantastical tales of their ancient religious texts are literal historical occurrences, like the commercialized Santa Claus … only real this time.
