Sheffield Wednesday fan Richard has published five books including one on the Sheffield derby. His What Was Football Like… collection summarises English football across four decades from the 1960s, inspired by his grandson Charlie’s desire to know about the game’s past. His most recent covers the 1990s, considering the Taylor Report, the Bosman Ruling and the paywall erected by Sky.
