Richard E. Ashby Jr. is a librarian and the co-founder of 'LiteracyNation Inc.', an organization whose mission is to promote literacy and lifelong learning by providing access to books, educational resources, and innovative programs that empower individuals, families, and communities. Richard is also the President of the Pennsylvania Library Association, Chairman of the Ethnic Multicultural Information Exchange Roundtable, Past President of the Black Caucus of the American Library Association, and the past president of the NY Black Librarians Caucus. He joins the show to further discuss his passion for literacy, the initiatives of LiteracyNation, and to talk about the impact he hopes LiteracyNation will have and has had on people.
