On this episode of Neon Galactic, we sit down with author Richard Tarnas, whose book “Cosmos and Psyche” makes a vivid and compelling argument for the reality of astrology as a system of archetypal forces that permeate and influence both the universe and the beings within.
We discuss how the universe must operate in order for astrology to be a reality, and what this says about consciousness, non-human intelligence, fate, free will, and humanity’s early insights.
Tarnas is a well-known cultural historian, and a former program director for the Esalen Institute. He describes how his work with famed psychologist Stanislave Grof alerted him to the efficacy of astrology, and how they worked together to develop these ideas.
