Richie Allen Speaks Out on Censorship – We are Insignificant

Popular radio show host, Richie Allen, joins the program to discuss the latest round of YouTube censorship. His channel, along with many other large and small creators were yanked from the platform. His professional journalism and balanced approach were not factored into the decision. Regardless of the objective reporting and professional coverage, his content was yanked with no recourse or explanation sending a shock wave through the alternative media. YouTube has recently claimed that "Right Wing" and "Gun Supporters" were accidentally pulled; yet Allen is neither "right wing" nor a vocal supporter of guns. Again, pointing to the hypocrisy at YouTube and Google. We discuss the blanket abuse of power and treatment towards creators as insignificant. He also gives advice as to what content creators and journalists could do to protect themselves long term and to stay viable in the long run. Richie began his career presenting late night music shows for his local station in Waterford, Ireland. He was promoted to the position of producer of the stations top rated news show. During his tenure the show enjoyed the healthiest ratings in its history. Richie left Ireland to study TV and Radio at the University of Salford. During this time he also taught radio production courses for City & Guilds. He moved to Spain where he presented a hugely successful evening show for Talk Radio Europe.
