Richter Center Opens: Bridging Past and Future | St. Louis News

UMSL’s new Richter Family Welcome and Alumni Center officially opens, marking a major milestone in the university’s $119 million Transform UMSL initiative. Funded by a $80 million state investment and $19 million from donors including the late Kirk Richter—a first-gen alum who believed education transforms lives—the 31,000-square-foot hub welcomes students, alumni, and the community. Designed as the campus’s front door, it features lounges and meeting spaces honoring Richter and other generous supporters. Alumni and campus open houses are set for Sept. 24 and 30, inviting everyone to experience the new heart of UMSL.
