Rick Gibson - An Uncorked Conversation Exploring The World of Wine!

I am delighted to introduce my interesting guest and good friend Rick Gibson. Rick is certainly the most knowledgeable person I know in terms of all things wine! Arguably, some of the best wines I have ever consumed were from Rick’s own collection. One of those was a bottle that he waited eight years to receive! And he has always patiently attempted to educate me on the finer details of not only what to drink, but how to enhance the experience. You are in for a treat today because he is going to do the same for you! The only thing missing will be the blind taste test (that I usually not do all that well on!) We are going to talk about his unique story of becoming interested in wine, how is has acquired most of his knowledge and some of the misperceptions that many people have about wine. We’ll talk about the remarkable science behind growing the grapes and the art of harvesting them. He will tell us some of his favorite and most memorable tastes, but most importantly, how to find our own, unique favorite wines. We’ll talk about pairing and why it doesn’t have to be all that complicated. And I’m happy to learn that expensive doesn’t necessarily mean better.
