Riders Ready Podcast #10

from Riders Ready Podcast · host Patrick und Steve

In the latest episode of the Riders Ready Podcast, we are delighted to welcome Radical Ron from Northern California as our guest! Hosts Rainer Schadowski and Stephan Bouren chat with Ron Sampson who began BMX in the USA in 1972 and immediately won his very first race. In 1982 Ron came to Germany with the Army. He quickly fell in love with the country—not least because the taxis here were Mercedes and there was BMX racing as well. In 1983, he participated in his first race in Rödermark where he not only learned the exciting lesson that the curves in Germany go to the left but also to the right, he also met Rainer. In this episode we discuss Ron's connection to Pattersons, his Bull Terrier Rambo and the difference between old school and modern BMX. We also cover topics like the Veteran Cup, FrogTown, Dirtyfest and much more. Enjoy Episode #10!
