Durante la Prima Guerra Mondiale si distingue per l’investimento in ricerca e sviluppo al servizio del Paese, rifiutando ogni logica speculativa. Trasmetterà questa visione ai figli, dando origine a un modello d’impresa “a misura d’uomo”, basato sul rispetto per le persone e sulla fiducia nella tecnologia come leva per il progresso sociale.
