Ridley Scott's Michael Fassbender 'Alien' Sequel Is Finally Happening

Director Ridley Scott is currently developing a new entry in the Alien franchise that will serve as a direct sequel to his 2017 film, Alien: Covenant. This upcoming project aims to resolve the lingering cliffhanger regarding the android David, portrayed by Michael Fassbender, as he continues his dark experiments with extraterrestrial life. The narrative is expected to explore the chilling potential of artificial intelligence surpassing human control, a theme that has fascinated the filmmaker throughout his recent prequels. While Scott remains busy with a diverse slate of other films, this production marks a significant effort to bridge the gap toward the original 1979 sci-fi horror classic. This announcement comes amid a broader resurgence for the series, which has recently seen success through new theatrical releases and television expansions. This episode includes AI-generated content.
