Rigby’s Road to Breakout at Wisconsin | Wisconsin Badgers Football News

Shamar Rigby, the towering, talented transfer from Oklahoma State, is poised to make waves with Wisconsin—but his path to stardom is far from guaranteed. Despite hauling in 25 catches for 351 yards and a TD last season, he didn’t lock down a starting role in spring drills, leaving his 2026 impact uncertain. With elite size, strong hands, and proven route-running, Rigby has the tools to be a breakout target for Colton Joseph—if he can carve out consistent snaps in a deep receiver corps. The best case? He becomes Wisconsin’s go-to weapon. The worst? He fades into the background. Expect around 250 yards, but his ceiling could be much higher if he earns more reps than he’s given.
