Riley Greene Nears Return | Detroit Tigers News

Riley Greene is poised to return from his hamstring injury this weekend, beginning a minor league rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo—potentially rejoining the Tigers as early as Monday. After hitting .273 with 16 homers and 54 RBIs before his August 12 setback, Greene’s strong progress in workouts and drills has excited manager A.J. Hinch. The plan: two games with Toledo to test his recovery under game conditions, followed by a possible big-league debut in Minneapolis. If he stays healthy through the weekend, Greene could be a major offensive boost for Detroit—and fans are watching closely.
