Riley Quick: Twins' Hidden Pitching Gem
from Minnesota Twins News Today | 2 Min News | The Daily News Now!
Meet Riley Quick, the Twins top pitching prospect flying under the radar. Drafted 36th overall in 2025, Quick dominated his High-A debut with Cedar Rapids, striking out five in four shutout innings. With a 66 frame and a powerful arsenal including a 96-99 mph sinking fastball, mid-80s slider, low-90s cutter, and high-80s changeup, Quick is expected to debut in 2028, potentially sooner. The Twins are carefully managing his workload to prevent injuries, setting him up for a potential rotation spot or playoff relief help.
