RIP, Ueck.

As much as I love Fridays, today just doesn't have the same feeling after yesterday's tragic news about Mr. Baseball, Bob Uecker. As a lifelong Red Sox fan, my love of Ueck comes from his time on TV in "Mr. Belvedere" and in the "Major League" films. After moving here in 2003, and listening to him on WKTY throughout the years, along with trips to Miller Park, and seeing how revered he is here, I now have a much better appreciation of his life & career. He'll be missed greatly. A bill to honor the "Miracle on Ice" USA hockey team has been reintroduced to Congress. Hopefully, it passes this time! And in today's edition of "Bad News with Happy Music", we had stories about a drunk Southwest Airlines pilot, a couple of former daycare workers that were drugging the kids to get them to sleep, a woman who raped a boy that was living with her and recently gave birth to his child, and a woman who recently paid off her mortgage lost the house to the California wildfires.
