Rise and Return

As we close this week’s morning devotions, Pastor Kent returns to the road to Emmaus and shows what happens after Christ opens the Scriptures. The disciples did not simply have their hearts warmed; they rose that very hour and returned to Jerusalem. When the Word is truly opened to us, it restores direction, renews conviction, and calls us back to obedience, fellowship, and witness. This episode reminds us that the opened Word is meant to do more than stir us. It is meant to put us back on our feet and move us into a clear response to Christ.
