Rise of the AI gods: The Coming End-Times Religion?

There is a large possibility that the greatest danger of AI is not what the world fears - loss of jobs, military implementations, etc. These are real issues, but a supreme AI may be able to seduce mankind into worship, and even play a very real role in Biblical end-time events. We are already seeing previous 'nonreligious' people such as atheists suggest they would follow a religion if a 'perfect' AI god wrote a new 'perfect Bible' worth following.
