Rise, Regardless (Part 2)!

from Emmanuel Afiawari's Inspiration podcast · host Emmanuel Afiawari

INSPIRE Devotionals With Emmanuel Afiawari Wednesday, December 11, 2024 Topic: RISE, REGARDLESS (Part 2)! Bible Text: John 5:7-8 NKJV 7. The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.”  INSPIRATION: It is mostly deceptively conveniencing to think you can be comfortable in your comfort zone without applying yourself to objective ways that could change your fortunes positively. A fall is not fatal or finite if you determine it won't be your destination. That was how this impotent man stayed comfortably in his deformity for 38yrs. God forbid! Believers do not have a cowardice mindset or slothfulness in their DNA (Rom. 12: 11). We've power and a sound mind (2 Tim. 1: 7); we carry and operate the mind of Christ (1 Cor. 2: 16; Phi. 2: 5), that not even death and the grave could hold down. Therefore, falling down is a mechanism that allows for feedback; but staying knocked down is an aberration that shouldn't be condoned. That was why Jesus didn't pay attention to the excuses and sentiments the impotent man was stirring up. Staying down is a personal choice that belittles the grace and power of God that works in a believer. If you know what manner of spirit you're made of (Luke 9: 55), nothing should put you down (Rom. 8: 35-39). Therefore arise! Climb back up to your position of power; rise to dominion and begin to do the things you did before the fall. Jesus sets you free so you can reign in victory. Take up your bed or anything that supported you in your fallen state, and get back to your originality! TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Limitations in our minds can foster great limitations in our expression of reality. Get your mind to explore possibilities. Venture! PRAYER: O Lord, I refuse to accept a reality that belittles my potentials. I bounce back from every fall a bigger and better person. I've the mind of Christ and power of God; I'm not lazy or cowardly. I process positive feedback from each fall and move on to greater heights. I take responsibility that positively impacts on my reality, in Jesus name.
