Rise Up And Build
from Pod Pastor Mike Hosted by Pastor Mike
Drawing from Nehemiah 2:9-20, this episode examines how Nehemiah's return to Jerusalem to rebuild its walls serves as a powerful model for believers facing opposition in their pursuit of God's work. Nehemiah's journey illustrates three essential principles: the importance of carefully assessing a situation before acting, the strength found in collective effort and teamwork, and the power of unwavering faith in God's sovereign plan. Just as Nehemiah faced immediate resistance from Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem, believers today encounter opposition when pursuing God's calling. The episode draws a parallel between Nehemiah's steadfastness and Christ's own faithfulness in the face of opposition, affirming that God equips His people with spiritual armor, divine guidance, and a community of believers to accomplish His purposes. The central theological truth is that God's plans cannot be thwarted by human opposition, and that bold, faith-driven action glorifies God and advances His kingdom.
