Rising energy costs and global instability are casting a long shadow over Europe’s hospitality sector. Industry leaders from across the EU have been meeting in Cork - where they're warning the challenges facing tourism have reached a tipping point. With fuel prices surging and tensions in the Middle East disrupting travel and supply chains, businesses say they are under unprecedented strain. Paul Gallagher, Chief Executive of the Irish Hotels Federation, says more than 10 million livelihoods across Europe now hang in the balance.
