Rising Star's Escape from Ukraine

Just a day after entering the second decade of his life, with sirens blaring and explosions in the distance, a panicked Amilcar Djau Codjovi realized he was in the middle of a warzone. The midfielder who played for Vorskla Poltava in central Ukraine would spend the next two days frantically traveling the length and breadth of the country trying to escape. His safe passage to Hungary, eventually being secured after a call from the Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković.
