Listener Request! Alien Series Part 2 – #Alien3 & #AlienResurrection : What Do These Films Reveal About the Meaning of Human Life?

"I Think You've Got One Inside Of You." I Think You've Got One Inside Of You." Hey, it’s Mako, your movie talk host.Back again with another listener request—we’re diving deeper into the Alien saga. This time it’s Alien 3 and Alien: Resurrection. Now, let’s be honest—these two are the black sheep of the franchise. Fans love to hurl their spears of criticism, and for good reason. The plots are messy, the choices questionable… and yet, I can’t bring myself to hate them. That’s the magic of this series—it keeps pulling us back, flaws and all.Why do we humans crave stories about being hunted by monstrous creatures?Maybe it’s because, deep down, that struggle reflects our search for meaning. Why do we live?Where is the line that humanity was never meant to cross?Through these films, I’d like to wrestle with those very questions. I’m Mako (@_macobana), and this is my spin-off podcast #よもやまこばなし (#まこばな)—the place where I share all the movie thoughts I can’t squeeze into my main channel ポケットに沼を.🎙️ New episodes drop weekly or bi-weekly.💬 Share your thoughts with #リルパル #ReelPal on Twitter—your tweets might get featured in the show!📝 Send in your theme talk ideas here: https://forms.gle/4PT2GBA7TY8vAoCx7📩 Or reach me directly at: [email protected] for tuning in—and let’s keep chasing the monsters together.
