Listener Pick! #GetOut — Unmasking the Warped Jealousy Behind Discrimination

“Sink. - - - Now, you're in the sunken place.” -----Here’s a natural, podcast-ready English version of your episode description:“Sink. … Now, you’re in the Sunken Place.”Hey, it’s Mako, your movie-chat host. This time, by listener request, we’re diving into #GetOut.What a horror film. For all its wild premise, it’s insanely well-crafted. The script is razor-tight, and the performances are on another level. On a second watch, the hidden meanings behind the characters’ lines and actions start to pop — and it’s mind-blowing.Living in Japan, a lot of us don’t really feel like we’re personally connected to issues of racial discrimination. But through a film like this, the resolution sharpens. It suddenly hits you: this isn’t someone else’s problem.A must-watch right now.Hosted by Mako (@_macobana), from the main channel “Pocket ni Numa wo” (#ポケ沼).This spin-off podcast, #YomoyamaKobanashi (#まこばな), is where I go deeper on the movie talk I couldn’t fit in elsewhere.
