I'm Mako, your movie talk personality. This episode covers #FunnyGames 🎬 A listener request brought us to one of the big ones. Masterpiece? Provocation? Neither label quite fits — this is a film that casually dismantles the very framework of what a film is supposed to be. Director Haneke's intent is well-documented, but knowing it doesn't resolve the harder question: what do you do with that knowledge? How do you watch it? That's what this episode tries to work through. Full disclosure though: Mako's sleepiness had reached catastrophic levels during this recording, and there were stretches where rational thought had largely left the building. Sincere apologies.
