River Delays, Safety Questions, Port Canaveral Boom

Low water is still disrupting European river cruises despite recent rain, with Viking, Emerald Cruises, Saga River Cruises, Avalon Waterways, Uniworld and AmaWaterways adjusting sailings on the Danube, Rhine and Main; Saga told guests "We won't turn your itinerary into a coach holiday; the ship will be sailing," while AmaWaterways COO Jon Burrows said the line doesn't "wait until conditions become a problem." In Scotland, a body has been recovered from the North Sea after a man went missing from Ambassador Cruise Line's Ambition roughly 36 nautical miles from Arbroath, in a search involving Police Scotland, HM Coastguard aircraft, coastguard rescue teams and lifeboats; police have not released his identity or age and formal identification is pending. And Port Canaveral is forecasting 10.9 million passenger movements in fiscal 2027 across 1,213 cruise calls and 23 homeported ships, on operating revenue of $281.8 million, with $203 million in cruise capital work including a $95 million Terminal 10 renovation and the debuts of Carnival Festivale and MSC World Atlantic.
