Rm 92.8 Billion Investment BUT WHY 511,800 Unemployed Malaysians ?

Something doesn’t add up.Malaysia attracted RM92.8 billion in approved investments in the first quarter of 2026.That is fantastic news.It means investors still believe in Malaysia.It means factories may be built.Data centres may be expanded.Regional headquarters may be established.And thousands of jobs may be created.But at the same time, more than 511,000 Malaysians remain unemployed.So perhaps the question we should ask is not:“Can Malaysia attract more investment?”Perhaps the question is:“How do we ensure more Malaysians participate in economic opportunities?”
