Road to Ruin

Loomis, California is a sleepy little town near Sacramento, and home to long time couple Gary Bortis and Maryanne Stein. They are friends with everyone on serene Boone Lane so it’s no surprise they welcome newcomer Lawrence “Cutter” Ficarra with open arms. Peace and friendship are soon destroyed when Lawrence reveals himself to be a developer and begins building a number of townhouses in the land behind Boone Lane. To make matters worse, he begins using access road beside Gary and Maryanne’s home to reach the land. Lawrence uses intimidation to dismiss all neighborhood concerns, and threatens anyone who stands in his way, setting the stage for a violent confrontation that will leave one of the combatants bleeding out in the street.
