Roanoke City Changes School Funding, New Budget No RGGI, GOP PAC Against Local Congressman

Roanoke City Council has opted to change the funding formula for the city school district. Governor Youngkin has signed off on a new two-year state budget that includes 3% raises for state employees and teachers while not raising taxes. A Democratic delegate used time in front of the House yesterday to point towards Governor Youngkin’s priority of removing Virginia from the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative. A political action committee that helps Republicans get elected to Congress is doing the unusual - spending more than $450,000 to defeat GOP incumbent Bob Good. Total Action for Progress has issued a call for help - via a monthlong Crowdfunding Campaign to raise money for its Domestic Violence services in southwest Virginia.
