To this day Rob still doesn't know what escrow is. That said, when he lost both of his parents in six months and became an orphan at the age of 31, he had no choice but to learn. Rob's parents weren't exactly hoarders, but they were close and the repeated trips from his home in Brooklyn to their home in Rochester, NY, were a numbing sort of archaeological process which progressively taught Rob all sorts of things about his parents. Some he'd always suspected, but never really admitted, and others which had him wondering how much he really knew about the people who raised him.
