Dana Shino is a professional psychic and metaphysical journalist (B.A. Journalism, Indiana University 1993) working out of Durango, Colorado in the heart of the southwest. She has been channeling since 1987 -- but her psychic gifts weren't identified until 2001 by a co-worker. Since that time, her life has dramatically transformed from a traditional path to an indescribable journey into the esoteric realms of consciousness and energy work. In 2006, Shino moved from the Colorado Front Range to Durango, Colorado and established The Purple Phoenix, a company providing the practical application of metaphysical and psychic information and tools to clients. Shino bases her business and work on the philosophy that "We're all psychic, we're all intuitive." She helps individuals learn about, manage and tap into their own psychic and intuitive gifts through her energy session work, newsletter writings, podcast interviews, workshops and tele-seminars. Dana Shino has written a monthly column, "Practical Psychic Tools" for the Durango Herald, she's been featured in local publications, and speaks intermittently at local events. In 2009, Shino released "Are You Really Psychic? Yes!" a practical psychic tools audio program. She will be releasing her book, "When Elephants Fly - a personal, intuitive account of living the convictions of intuitive truth" this year. Shino likes to think of herself as a professional psychic who is actively shedding the myths about psychic work and making the genre accessible to the general public.
