Rob McConnell Interviews - EUGENE CROWLEY - Paris On My Mind: Thoughts of Paris, James Baldwin and Harlem

from The 'X' Zone on Classic 1220 AM CFAJ · host REL-MAR McConnell Media Company - www.rel-mar.com

Paris has always been on the mind of Eugene Crowley since his hometown, St. Joseph, Missouri, was founded by a French fur-trader, Joseph Robidoux.  For Gene, anything French reminded him of Paris. Before the end of his first decade in St. Joe, Gene “saw” Paris as his father drove down the parkway entrance, flanked on both sides with trees and shrubs, to Krug Park.    Gene announced to himself, “This is Paris.”  In his first trip to Paris four decades later, Gene became dazzled by the art in the Louvre and experienced a light show that he was the only witness.  This regeneration of the spirit in the Louvre keeps Gene’s mind on Paris.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-x-zone-on-classic-1220-am-cfaj--6009611/support.Please note that all XZBN radio and/or television shows are Copyright © REL-MAR McConnell Meda Company, Niagara, Ontario, Canada – www.rel-mar.com.
