Rob Reiner Posthumously Wins Emmy | Spokane News

Rob Reiner, the legendary actor and filmmaker, just won a posthumous Emmy for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series for his role on “The Bear,” a haunting honor that arrives amid profound tragedy — he and his wife were murdered in December, and their son is now facing trial. Competing against heavy hitters like Michael J. Fox and Brett Goldstein, Reiner’s win underscores his enduring impact, even as it lingers under the shadow of loss. A two-time Emmy winner in the ‘70s for “All in the Family,” Reiner carries the legacy of his own acclaimed father, Carl Reiner — an eleven-time Emmy winner. This award celebrates his brilliance, but it’s impossible to untangle from the grief that still grips his family and fans.
