Rob Roy Volume 2 Chapter 15
from The Walter Scott Library Hosted by Sir Walter Scott
In which the captive Osbaldistone undertakes a perilous embassy between hostile Highlanders and Lowland militia, navigating threats and distrust to deliver a grave message from Helen MacGregor to the Duke’s forces. The scene is richly set with the noble yet fierce Rob Roy in irons, and the tense parley reveals the bitter divisions and looming dangers that shadow the Scottish glens.
