from Dub Reggae International

Nyabinghi was a Ugandan movement from the 19th century that supported the idea of “death to the black and white downpressors.” It has been said that a queen of the same name, Queen Nyavingi, fought against the colonialists, once ruled the area in Uganda. The word was carried over slave ships to the Caribbean and in the formation of organizing Rastafarians was titled as the Theocratic Priesthood and Livity Order of Nyabinghi, a sect or order of Rastafari. Nyabinghi has a variety of meanings: for one it describes various sects of Rastafarians and Nyabinghi celebrations are communal gatherings. Third, it is an early type of Rasta music, organic and indigenous to Jamaica’s reggae influence. Nyabinghis culminate all of these meanings into a ceremony, not necessarily given at any particular time for a particular purpose, sometimes, Binghis are held at the discretion of the members who feel the need to become a spiritual force and evoke the presence of righteousness and justice on the Earth. 1 Roberdub Tune by Rob le dub 2 The Invasion (aka "Black Wa-Da-Da") (album version) by Burning Spear 3 Rastafari by Lee "Scratch" Perry 4 Damian Jr. Gong Marley - Welcome To Jamrock (AOL Sessions) by Damian Jr. Gong Marley 5 Jah Love by Dillinger 6 Some One Loves You (Sleng Teng Riddim) by Sizzla 7 The Creator (Ariwa, 12", 1986) by Aisha 8 Fwd Into Dub by Mad Professor 9 Fisherman (original Black Ark mix) by The Gongos 10 Fisherman Version Remix 2006 by The Gongos 11 Who A Di Boss Dub by Dubmatix 12 Who Dem by Capleton 13 Strong Dub Part 1 - 2 by Jah Warrior 14 Love You Version (HUMBLE COMMISSION) by Angela Prince 15 Love You More by Dub Architect & Giant Panda Guerilla Dub Squad 16 Spread Out In Dub by Don Carlos 17 Sound Killah Dub by Koncrete Roots 18 Sound System (Living Legacy) by Steel Pulse 19 Burning Babylon by Dan dada Records & Radio One Drop 20 Judge Not (Part 2) by Dan dada Records & Mystical Warrior 21 Many Are Called (1978) by I Threes 22 Fly by Zion Train 23 One God Dub Version by Twinkle Brothers 24 All My Life (feat Da'Ville) by Marcia Griffiths 25 Riddim On The Corner FULL MIX by BOOM SQUAT & Dj lorest de france 26 There's A Girl In My Life by Eek A Mouse 27 Can Never Hold Di Rastaman by Ras feat Imänefese Qaduse 28 Run Out Pon Dem by Sizzla 29 It No Good (to stay in a white man country too long) by Mutabaruka 30 Crazy Girl by Half Pint 31 Jah Jah Rule (Tempo Riddim) by Burro Banton 32 Progress by King Kong
