Robert Bontschek OAM Founder of J-Air on Travel Writers Radio

from Travel Writers Radio

It is a celebration here at Travel Writers Radio today as we mark our 12th anniversary on air. On March 11, 2014, Graeme Kemlo and well-known travel industry identity, the late Pater Watson hosted our first show covering food, wine and travel from a makeshift studio in St Kilda. Now after a dozen years we have 472 unique shows, 3000 stories, about 40,000 minutes and the involvement of dozens of journalists and broadcasters, and thousands of guests, plus a number of awards both for the show and also for some individual team members. I guess our next milestone is 500 shows … and we should see that achieved towards the end of the year. In the meanwhile Graeme Kemlo speaks with J-Air founder and station manager Robert Bontschek OAM about his own achievement as the recipient of the Order of Australia Medal.
