Robert de Castella - #27

from For The Kudos · host Brett Robinson & Joel Tobin-White

Episode 27 is brought to you by ATLAS EVENTS: The final episode of FTK's second season welcomes Australian marathon record holder, Robert de Castella. This very special interview sees Rob take us through many moments of his incredible career, from humble beginnings to his 2:07:51 1986 Boston Marathon win, the Australian Record to this day. We are lucky enough to hear Rob's typical training week as one of the greatest marathon runners of all time and he shares his thoughts on why his own record still stands over 35 years later. The interview closes out with Rob sharing his involvement in The Indigenous Marathon Foundation. In normal programming Brett makes a difficult but sensible decision to pull out of his 1 hour track race and Joel sees big improvements in his fitness while banking his biggest week since returning from injury. Thank you to everyone for their support of Season Two. We will be back bigger and better (like Brett's upper-body hotel isolation gym routine) for Season Three in October.
