Roberta Elder: Bananas and Cheese
from Deliver Us Some Evil Hosted by Deliver Us Some Evil
In this episode Eli once again proves he doesn't have a good grasp of history, but who needs that when we're talking about one of our nation's lesser-known Bluebeards: Roberta Elder! Miss America Bluebeard 1952 runner-up to the much more famous Nannie Doss. Sure the papers could have reported on Roberta Elder, but it's clear that America doesn't care about black victims....or do they? Those of us here at the D.U.S.E. would like to think we do, at least enough to jam together a mix of information and dark humor to appease the DEI gods in the last week of February. So sit back and listen to the story of a woman who picked her victims from a catalog, seduced numerous hard-working men, killed every vulnerable person that crossed her path, and was really insistent that you eat her...Bananas and Cheese!
