Roc Riggio’s Altitude Adjustment | Colorado Rockies News

Roc Riggio, the 24-year-old infielder traded from the Yankees at the 2025 deadline, is crushing it with the Rockies after a rocky start—going 2-for-33 in April, he turned things around with hitting coach help, focusing on patience and consistency. Now hitting over .290 with a slugging percentage above .500 in Albuquerque, he’s also adapting to high-altitude baseball, admitting his first sprint to third left him breathless. Along the way, he soaked in elite company, playing alongside Team USA in a WBC exhibition and celebrating Hartford’s first-half title. With a wedding on the horizon and eyes set on 2027, Riggio’s love for the game is as strong as his bat—and he’s already training to come back even better.
