Rock biographer Stephen Davis & Apologetix lead singer J. Jackson

Stephen Davis, perhaps the best-known rock biographer in America, checks in regarding his book Please Please Tell Me Now--The Duran Duran Story, which releases today. Davis who has written biographies of Michael Jackson, Bob Marley, Carly Simon and many others, was raised in Philadelphia and shares how he came to write the book & the process involved. Davis also drops a very interesting tidbit about the band with regard to the American component of the Live Aid Concert in 1985. In keeping with the 80's theme, J. Jackson (lead singer & lyricist of Apologetix--often referred to as "that Christian parody band") also joins the show. Apologetix has just released its 10th single of 2021, one of which we feature on the show ("If You Believe," a takeoff on OMD's "If You Leave"). The band was birthed out of Bible study years ago, with parodies typically based upon at least one if not several Scriptures.
