They say that "Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing" but love can also be a hair-pulling experience that will keep you up at night in terror. Well, maybe that's not everyone's experience, but it's certainly the case in Curry Barker's film. And part of what made OBSESSION exceptionally unnerving film (aside from Inde Navarrette's now legendary turn) is the music. ROCK BURWELL's score is so perfectly tailored to the film that it is effective away from the expertly edited film. As we learned today, the abrupt end of the tracks was done on purpose to up the uneasiness and was informed by Barker's edits. Talk about one hand washing the other.
